We are the San Francisco State's Gator Scholars! A group of current students that serve as the first point of contact for visitors and respond to inquiries about student life at San Francisco State. We assist the recruitment, outreach, and K-10th team to provide support and bring well qualified students to the campus.
We are very fortunate to be able to share our experiences with you and show you why we love being a gator. We are so proud to represent our university at several events, presentations, school visits and so much more!

Eleodoro Duran
Hello, my name is Eleodoro Duran! I am currently majoring in Biochemistry and going into my 4th year at San Francisco State. I chose this campus because of all the opportunities it gives its students that prepare them for their professional careers. SF State provides students a place to not only excel in academics, but also with their personal growth.
Caroline Fernandez
Hello, my name is Caroline Fernandez and I’m a third year student majoring in Political Science. Home for me is Wilmington, CA which is in LA county. I chose SF State predominantly for their College of Ethnic Studies and their continuous efforts towards social justice. As a Political Science major aspiring to become an attorney, this was a characteristic I hoped my institution would have in order to truly enhance my hands-on experience. Additionally, SF State is an extremely diverse campus which was another bonus that further reinforced my decision to attend this university. Working in Undergraduate Admissions and Recruitment is definitely a great opportunity to learn more about the campus. I have the opportunity to share how amazing this school is with incoming students while also learning more about what SF State has to offer. Therefore, if you needed a sign, this is it, apply now and become a gator!

Rebeca Tellez
Hello, my name is Rebeca Tellez. I am from Orange, California. I am a fourth-year student at SF State; my majors are Spanish and Sociology, with a minor in Education. In the future, I hope to become a High School Spanish teacher or Guidance Counselor in the community where I grew up. From the moment I first visited SF State’s campus, I knew this was the school for me. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming. This campus’ commitment to social justice and equality makes me feel at home. What I am most looking forward to working at Undergraduate Admissions, and Recruitment is being able to learn more about our amazing campus and helping my fellow gators.
